Happy Fall Everyone!!! I hope everyone is getting ready for some cooler weather and maybe a little football! Just as many of us are ready for some changes in the weather and ready to embrace all of the fun activities that go with the fall season, our organization is excited about our future changes.
As many of you know, the Greater Delta Alliance for Health has been going through an assessment phase to review our current projects and their impact on our communities, patients, and providers as well as look at strategizing our future plans to make even a bigger impact in delivering quality programs and healthcare throughout the service area.
The Greater Delta Alliance for Health has decided to capitalize on what we think we do best, and that is partner with other organizations. Effectively immediately, our organization has decided to change our name to the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership.
For some time, we have talked about the potential of growing our organization to include other organizations, about connecting ourselves to our great state of Arkansas, and portraying our passion for what we were founded on, and that is rural health.
While it might take some time for us to get used to the idea, over the next month you will see the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership emerge with new branding, new energy, and a strategic plan (and yes a new page and website) that will move our organization further to assist our hospitals and healthcare providers with addressing the complex issues around increasing access to healthcare in our rural communities.
We are looking forward to increasing our services to our hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and community partners. We have been excited to hear from healthcare leaders throughout the state over the past few months at our board meetings and are thrilled to begin to develop and cultivate relationships that will lead to promoting services and assistance for our residents.
It is a new day here in the Arkansas Delta as the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership emerges with enthusiasm, energy, great partners and board members, and an incredible staff. I feel blessed to be able to do what I love to do and promise you that I will continue to work hard to improve and increase access to rural health care for all Arkansans.
Blessings!
Mellie
