🌙 Wake Up Feeling Refreshed

Sleep disorders often go undiagnosed, leaving many people struggling with fatigue, headaches, or daytime sleepiness. A sleep study provides detailed information about breathing, heart rate, and sleep patterns to help your provider create the right treatment plan.

Good mornings begin with good sleep.

💡Health Tip Tuesday with Chicot Memorial 💡

Here’s a surprising one: it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to realize you’re full. Eating a little slower—putting your fork down between bites or taking small sips of water—can help prevent overeating and improve digestion.

Sometimes the healthiest change isn’t what you eat… it’s how fast you eat it!

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and our team is proud to stand together to raise awareness in our community. 💙

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, yet it is also one of the most preventable cancers when detected early. Screening can find precancerous polyps before they turn into cancer, and early detection greatly improves treatment outcomes.

The American Cancer Society recommends that adults at average risk begin colorectal cancer screening at age 45. Screening options may include colonoscopy, stool-based tests, or other methods—talk with your healthcare provider about what’s right for you.

Common symptoms can include:
• Changes in bowel habits
• Blood in the stool
• Unexplained weight loss
• Persistent abdominal discomfort

However, many people with early colorectal cancer have no symptoms, which is why screening is so important.

Our healthcare team is committed to helping keep our community healthy through education, prevention, and early detection. If you’re due for screening or have concerns, talk with your healthcare provider.

💡Health Tip Tuesday with Chicot Memorial 💡

Your nose can tell your brain it’s time to eat.
Smelling food actually kick-starts digestion before the first bite—your body starts releasing saliva and stomach enzymes just from the aroma. Fun twist: taking a moment to smell your food can help you feel more satisfied and less likely to overeat.

Quirky takeaway: slow down and sniff your dinner like a food critic 🍝👃
