Choosing an assisted living facility for a loved one is one of the hardest decisions a family can make—especially when that loved one is your mom. When we found Hibiscus Palace, I had no idea just how deeply this place would impact both her life and mine. What I thought would be a safe, professional environment turned out to be so much more—a place of dignity, compassion, and genuine love.
From the very first moment we walked through the doors, I felt peace. The house was not only spotless, it smelled fresh and inviting—no matter what time I stopped by. That level of cleanliness is no small thing, especially in a full-care environment, and it was clearly a reflection of the care and attention the team gives to every detail.
My mom’s diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia brought with it some very challenging days. This isn’t an easy illness—for the person walking through it or the people walking alongside them. But never once did I feel like my mom was a burden. The staff treated her with such patience, kindness, and professionalism that it truly felt like she was being cared for by family. They understood her needs—even when she couldn’t express them clearly—and they honored her humanity and dignity through every stage of her journey.
Andrea, the owner, is someone I will always hold in the highest regard. Not only did she demonstrate incredible compassion and leadership with her team, but she also showed extraordinary patience with me. I had so much to learn, and Andrea never made me feel rushed or ignorant. She answered every question, helped me navigate every unknown, and gave me the confidence to advocate for my mom.
What really sets Hibiscus Palace apart is that their care doesn’t stop with the resident—they care deeply for the family, too. In one of the most difficult seasons of my life, I was consistently met with kindness, encouragement, and grace. It was like having a team of people quietly holding me up while being strong for my mom.
This wasn’t just a facility. It was a haven. A safe place where my mom could be cared for with excellence, and where I could be seen, heard, and supported through every twist and turn.
