Lake Worth Rehabilitation Center proudly partnered with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to host a special “Stroll With a Deputy” event. This meaningful initiative brought patients and deputies together to sit, chat, take walks, enjoy wheelchair strolls, and spend time in the beautiful garden at Lake Worth Rehabilitation Center.

The Sheriff’s Office generously provided snacks and hydration, complemented by additional refreshments from our Dietary Department. Most importantly, this experience allowed our residents to feel connected, engaged, and part of something truly special alongside PBSO.

No Passport Needed: A Magical Trip to Hawaii for Our Residents
At Lake Worth Rehabilitation Center, something truly special happened. Our Captain, Daniel, CDM, alongside Co-Captain Tanisha, NHA, and Activities Director Marie—the visionary behind it all—didn’t just organize an event. They created an experience filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories.
Our residents were taken on a beautiful journey to Hawaii 🌺—no passport required. For a moment in time, they weren’t in a facility… they were island travelers—smiling, laughing, and immersed in the vibrant culture, music, and flavors of paradise.

Each resident and their family member was welcomed with a traditional lei placed around their neck upon arrival, setting the tone for an authentic island experience from the very first moment.

The room came alive with the rhythm of hula dancers, swaying gracefully to island music, bringing the spirit of Hawaii right to our residents’ doorstep. Laughter filled the air as residents and families joined in, clapping along and soaking in the joy of the moment.

And the food—absolutely decadent. From island-inspired entrées to beautifully crafted, made-to-order dishes, every plate was a celebration of flavor, presentation, and care. Each bite added to the experience, making our residents feel like honored guests at a true Hawaiian escape.

What made it even more meaningful was seeing family members join the “cruise,” sharing laughter, connection, and precious moments with their loved ones. These are the memories that stay in the heart long after the day is over.
Our staff poured their hearts into every detail, creating a magical atmosphere where every resident felt seen, celebrated, and truly cared for.

This wasn’t just dining… it was dignity, joy, love, and connection brought to life.

At Lake Worth Rehabilitation Center, every resident is treated like royalty—especially on their special day! We recently had the honor of celebrating the birthday of one of our beloved residents, affectionately known as our “Madame President.”

The celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and a true sense of community. Staff and fellow residents gathered together to make her day unforgettable, decorating the space with festive touches and creating a warm, lively atmosphere.
