Our Story

Pelvic & Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialists focuses on the rehabilitative needs of men and women with pelvic and orthopedic conditions. From our decades of experience, we understand how these conditions can greatly impact your quality of life and that’s why we treat you with sensitivity and respect. We also know that if we combine our expertise with your efforts in the right treatment plan, you can resume your normal activity sooner. We also offer support therapies, such as massage to further accelerate your recovery.

The clinic was acquired in August 2017 by physical therapist, Dr. Maureen Gies Strasser, who used to work for the former owners, Teri Elliott-Burke and Lynn O’Brien. The name of the clinic was formally changed to Pelvic & Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialists in February 2018 from Women’s Physical Therapy Institute.
