This summer, our interns turned awareness into action—registering dozens of new potential blood stem cell donors through a partnership with NMDP.

They led educational events across our U.S. site, engaging employees in conversations about the urgent need for potential blood stem cell donors and encouraging them to take the first step toward potentially saving a life by joining the NMDP Registry.

Adding more registry members brings renewed hope to patients with life-threatening blood disorders, like leukemia and lymphoma.

In addition, Fresenius Kabi is proud to make a $10,000 donation to NMDP on behalf of the 2025 summer intern class to support life-saving research and expand the blood stem cell donor registry.

We’re proud to celebrate our interns for their leadership, compassion, and commitment to a cause that truly reflects Fresenius Kabi’s Committed to Life mission.

🌟 Blood Donation Hall of Fame Spotlight 🌟

Meet Monte Engh, one of our inspiring 2025 Blood Donor Hall of Fame inductees!

Monte has made 291 donations, resulting in 68 gallons. But he didn’t stop there. After retirement, he became a volunteer driver for LifeServe Blood Center, ensuring blood products reach those in need across the region. Over the past four years, Monte has driven more than 156,000 miles and volunteered over 4,300 hours.

Monte says it best: "It's a good feeling being part of a system that is making a difference."

When not driving, Monte shares his talents with Habitat for Humanity, disaster recovery efforts, and development programs in Africa. His dedication inspires us every day.

Last week at Angels for Change’s SummitONE, leaders from across the pharmaceutical supply chain gathered to advance a shared mission: ending drug shortages and ensuring patients have reliable access to essential medicines.

As last year’s host, Fresenius Kabi symbolically passed the baton to McKesson for this year’s event, underscoring the ongoing collaboration needed to strengthen supply resiliency.

During the Executive Champions Panel, Fresenius Kabi USA’s President, Arun Verma, joined Kirk Kaminsky of McKesson and Rich Tremonte of Cencora—founding pilot members of Project GOLD (Generic Oncology Lifesaving Drugs)—to discuss their roles in this new resiliency program, which establishes an onshore buffer supply of six essential medications used to treat cancer.

Arun also emphasized how Fresenius Kabi’s investments in expanding and automating U.S. manufacturing facilities are making an impact.

Ending drug shortages requires unwavering dedication from everyone in the industry, because timely access to medicines is essential to every patient’s health.

Each summer, employees across our U.S. locations compete in local bean bag tournaments, building camaraderie and a little friendly rivalry along the way. Winners from each site then travel to our Lake Zurich, IL headquarters to compete in the much-anticipated Fresenius Kabi Bean Bag Championship during our annual summer picnic.

This year’s event did not disappoint! Players brought their A-game, fans brought the energy, and our culture of connection and collaboration was on full display.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make this event a highlight of the season. We’re already counting down to next year!

Fresenius Kabi is proud to support the Angels for Change Project GOLD (Generic Oncology Lifesaving Drugs), an initiative focused on helping patients access critical medicines during drug shortages.

As a Phase 1 pilot member, Fresenius Kabi is committed to providing a buffer supply of select oncology drugs, while Angels for Change coordinates emergency distribution to patients in need.

Our participation in Project GOLD is one of the many ways we’re doing More in America to help end drug shortages and support uninterrupted patient care.
