September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month

Youth su***de is a heartbreaking and growing concern. Early conversations, open listening and professional support can make an impact.

✨It’s also important to remember: not all self-harm is related to suicidal thoughts. If your child is engaging in self-harm, don’t panic—talk to them. Ask what they’re feeling, and seek professional help to understand and support them.

You’re not alone. We’re here to help.

ACOG reaffirms the safety and benefits of acetaminophen use during pregnancy.
More than two decades of research have found no causal link between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability in children. Acetaminophen continues to be an important and safe option for managing pain and fever in pregnancy—conditions that can pose serious risks to pregnant patients and their fetuses if left untreated. Care tasks are not a measure of your worth. 💛

In her book How to Keep House While Drowning, KC Davis, LPC, reminds us that being behind on laundry, dishes or daily routines doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re human.

At our practice, we work with many clients — especially mothers, default parents and caregivers who carry silent guilt for feeling like they are never “doing enough.”

Here’s the truth:
Shame doesn’t lead to healing.
Tasks are morally neutral.
Progress is still progress — even if it’s partial.

You are not lazy, broken or failing. You are doing your best with what you have... That is enough.

✨ If this resonates, therapy can be a space to explore new ways of seeing yourself — with less shame and more compassion.
