I am leaving at the end of this month to teach Yoga at a five day, all inclusive women's retreat at Wonder Valley Resort - a gorgeous property nestled in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. I am SO STOKED y'all!
I will be teaching my signature yoga class, an Intro to Ayurveda workshop, and a 'Trauma Release' class like the one I am advertising here.

Our culture tends to encourage repressing our emotions rather than processing them. Modern research is discovering the many detrimental effects this repression can (and does) cause to the physical body. When we experience some type of trauma - big or small - and immediately push the feelings of fear, anger, grief etc. away instead of processing them, we essentially "store" them in various places around our physical bodies instead.
Common areas of stored trauma include the shoulders, hips, neck, knees, feet, and/or heart. We may experience pain, tension, tightness, inflammation, or an array of other issues in these areas due to unresolved and unreleased trauma/repressed emotional suffering.
This class blends Yoga flow with somatic movement (moving with a focus on internal experiences/sensations), breathwork, and dance to deeply relax the nervous system. This gets us out of our heads and into our bodies, further allowing the postures to release deeply stored tension and pain.
