That's right, the study of veins and blood vessels dates all the way back to ancient Egypt!
Over 3,000 years ago, Egyptian physicians recognized the importance of blood flow in the human body, a discovery that predated modern medicine. They believed that "channels" carried not just blood, but also air and life throughout the body.
While their understanding wasn't perfect, it laid the foundation for what we now know as vascular medicine.
The more we learn about our veins, the better we can protect our health today.
