Today, we pause to remember and honor the thousands of lives lost on September 11, 2001 — including the 343 FDNY Firefighters and 8 EMTs/Paramedics who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

Their bravery, dedication, and selflessness continue to inspire us every day as we carry forward their legacy of service and commitment to our communities.

As President George W. Bush once said:

“One of the worst days in America’s history saw some of the bravest acts in Americans’ history. We’ll always honor the heroes of 9/11.”

🔥 Firework Safety

Leave fireworks to the professionals when possible.

If using consumer fireworks, light them one at a time and back away quickly.

Never allow young children to handle fireworks, including sparklers.

Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby in case of fire.

☀️ Heat & Hydration

Stay hydrated—drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Take breaks in the shade or indoors to avoid heat exhaustion or heatstroke.

Keep an eye on children, seniors, and pets in the heat.

🚗 Travel Smart

Don't drink and drive—always have a designated driver.

Watch for increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Buckle up and drive defensively.

✅ Hurricane Safety Tips:

This week, MedFleet Ambulance / ATI Ambulance, COO Jeff Taylor had the incredible honor of attending the 2025 Boss Lift at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, arriving in style aboard a UH-60 Black Hawk and CH-47 Chinook helicopter.

Hosted by Florida ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) and the Florida Army National Guard, the event provided an inside look at the vital mission of the Guard and their role in serving our communities. During the visit, Maj. Gen. John D. Haas, The Adjutant General of Florida, highlighted the crucial support that employers provide to Citizen-Soldiers who proudly balance their military service with civilian careers.

We are proud to stand behind our Guard and Reserve employees and thank them—and all who serve—for their dedication and sacrifice.
