✨ Yesterday, Dr. Matthew Carman delivered an incredible presentation on Trauma in Pregnancy as well as the Emergency Medicine Grand Rounds: Pediatric Trauma.

These sessions highlighted crucial insights, especially focusing on children aged 0-3 years. Being aware and attentive to the unique needs and risks in this age group can prevent many traumatic injuries.

We want to share this important knowledge with our community to promote safety and well-being for our little ones. Let’s stay alert, informed, and proactive to protect our children! 💙👶

Shout-out to Dr. Ahmad, who exemplified sharp clinical judgment and calm under pressure. While evaluating a patient as a trauma, she quickly recognized signs concerning for stroke, and her instincts were spot on. The patient was found to have a left MCA stroke with a large vessel occlusion and underwent emergent IR intervention. 💪🧠
Your vigilance and quick thinking made all the difference. We’re proud to have you on our team! 🙌

Last week, our EM residents took their training outdoors with a hands-on water simulation event! 🏞️💦
Focused on preventing pediatric drownings and promoting water rescue skills, the simulation also served as a great wellness opportunity for team bonding and time in the sun. 🌞👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️
