LRH is proud to support fellows in their journey to passing the boards by providing board prep materials and lectures and educational stipends for educational materials and costs.

Meet Dr. Raquel Weston

Trauma, critical care, clamshells… and chickens 🐓

By day: trauma, acute care & surgical critical care attending, APD to SCC fellowship
By night: professional cat wrangler, dog mom, and keeper of 13 very opinionated chickens

Favorite operation:
ED thoracotomy / clamshell — because why not?

A successfully conducted hands-on simulation for our Surgical Critical Care Fellowship program, focusing on arrhythmias. Featured here are the SCC fellow, several surgery residents, and the SCC Program Director who provided a wonderful live narration and role play as the patient. An excellent showcase of teamwork in managing real-time challenges and improving critical care skills.
