Music therapy is the use of musical intervention to reach non musical goals, such as communication, emotional regulation, grounding, and many more.

We are an in-home and in-facility service that offers both music THERAPY and music LESSONS to people of all ages and abilities.

Meet Kristin, one of our amazing board-certified music therapists! Kristin provides services in a variety of settings including in-home and facility based. Kristin is now offering TeleHealth services through our HIPAA compliant portal, TheraNest for clients who may be a good fit for this mode of services! She has immediate availability- all you need to do is sign up for our client portal here: https://swancitymt.mytheranest.com/account/signup and complete the attached intake! As long as your availability aligns with Kristin's we can get you scheduled right away! Kristin is also offering EXTENDED HOURS for TeleHealth! TeleHealth will be offered from 9AM - 7 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays!

Why choose Swan City Music Therapy?

🎶IN-HOME SERVICES! We will come to you and provide services in-person in your home! Having sessions in-home can help with transitions to and from therapy as your child is in a space that they are comfortable in.

🎶BOARD-CERTIFIED THERAPISTS ONLY! Swan City Music Therapy only hires board-certified music therapists (MT-BC) to provide services to our clients. This means every one of our therapists has completed a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in music therapy AND successfully passed a national board certification exam! Some of our therapists have obtained additional credentials as well!

🎶FLEXIBILITY IN SCHEDULING! We offer services ranging from 25-45 minutes at a time. After completing an evaluation, your assigned therapist will recommend a weekly frequency and session lengths that they feel will best support your child’s progress. You can then decide on the session length and frequency that works for your family.

🎶NO INSTRUMENTS? NO PROBLEM! Your assigned therapist will bring instruments to be used in sessions. We require our therapists to clean instruments between sessions to ensure safety for your child. If you would prefer to purchase your own instruments, we are more than happy to make some recommendations!

🎶ADAPTED LESSONS! Does your child want to learn a new instrument but has not been comfortable with traditional methods? We also offer adapted lessons! In music therapy, the goal is to work on non-musical goals by using music based interventions. In adapted lessons, the goal is to learn music in whatever way works best for your child!
