Meet Kristin, one of our amazing board-certified music therapists! Kristin provides services in a variety of settings including in-home and facility based. Kristin is now offering TeleHealth services through our HIPAA compliant portal, TheraNest for clients who may be a good fit for this mode of services! She has immediate availability- all you need to do is sign up for our client portal here: https://swancitymt.mytheranest.com/account/signup and complete the attached intake! As long as your availability aligns with Kristin's we can get you scheduled right away! Kristin is also offering EXTENDED HOURS for TeleHealth! TeleHealth will be offered from 9AM - 7 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays!

Swan City Music Therapy has immediate openings! We are direct pay providers for the The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities and we also accept self-pay!

Why choose Swan City Music Therapy?

🎶IN-HOME SERVICES! We will come to you and provide services in-person in your home! Having sessions in-home can help with transitions to and from therapy as your child is in a space that they are comfortable in.

🎶BOARD-CERTIFIED THERAPISTS ONLY! Swan City Music Therapy only hires board-certified music therapists (MT-BC) to provide services to our clients. This means every one of our therapists has completed a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in music therapy AND successfully passed a national board certification exam! Some of our therapists have obtained additional credentials as well!

🎶FLEXIBILITY IN SCHEDULING! We offer services ranging from 25-45 minutes at a time. After completing an evaluation, your assigned therapist will recommend a weekly frequency and session lengths that they feel will best support your child’s progress. You can then decide on the session length and frequency that works for your family.

🎶NO INSTRUMENTS? NO PROBLEM! Your assigned therapist will bring instruments to be used in sessions. We require our therapists to clean instruments between sessions to ensure safety for your child. If you would prefer to purchase your own instruments, we are more than happy to make some recommendations!

🎶ADAPTED LESSONS! Does your child want to learn a new instrument but has not been comfortable with traditional methods? We also offer adapted lessons! In music therapy, the goal is to work on non-musical goals by using music based interventions. In adapted lessons, the goal is to learn music in whatever way works best for your child!

🥁In-home services! Our therapists come to YOU!

🥁Flexible scheduling- Do you want your child to receive services multiple times per week? Our therapists will evaluate and communicate the frequency they believe will best support your child’s progress and from there you have the ability to choose the frequency and session lengths that work best for you!

🥁ALL SERVICES facilitated by Board-Certified Music Therapists! This means each therapist has completed either a 4 year bachelor’s degree OR a 2 year master’s equivalency in Music Therapy AND passed a national board certification exam! Some of our therapists hold additional certifications as well!

🥁Openings across Lakeland, Plant City, Polk City, Auburndale, Bartow, and Winter Haven! Live farther away? We cannot guarantee services outside of this range, but send us a message and we will let you know what we can do!

🥁We are approved SUFS/FES-UA direct pay providers! No dealing with lengthy waits and forms for reimbursement!

We are only able to accept Step Up for Students/Family Empowerment Scholarship or self-pay at this time.
