Plot twist: You didn't burn out by week two. 🔥

This is what happens when you choose consistency over intensity. When you show up for yourself—not perfectly, just regularly.

January is almost over. If you've been showing up, we see you. If you're just starting, we're ready for you.

Small steps. Sustainable habits. That's how real change happens.

🧘‍♀️🧡 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🧡🧘‍♀️

We are so honored to share with you another student spotlight. Ashley is a dedicated yogi with a bright smile and wise soul. She steps in the studio with smiles and lightens up the room. We so appreciate being on this life journey with you!!

Ashley shares her yoga journey with us...

✨What was the most apprehensive part about starting yoga?
When I first started, I was always worried about my flexibility, if i could do the variations of a pose, and if I’d be able to focus. Letting go of that control and simply showing up, listening to cues, my breath and my body, helped that apprehension fade over time.

✨How has yoga helped you?
Yoga has helped me in so many ways over the years mentally and physically. This past year especially, yoga has helped me through a season of grief. Honing in on my practice and showing up to the mat has brought me so much peace.

✨What is your favorite pose or favorite part of a yoga practice?
My favorite part of a yoga practice is when there’s laughter! Yoga can have so many moments of playfulness and joy!

✨What is your advice for someone who wants to start yoga but is apprehensive?
When you arrive on your mat, it’s easy to bring with you assumptions or nervousness about what the practice will be… I’d encourage someone to let go and see where your practice takes you! Most importantly: go at your own pace - do what you’re comfortable with.

We love you Ashley and look forward to lots of laughter together!!
🙏🧡😍

Let's talk about the difference between soreness and pain—because knowing this might change how you practice.

Soreness is that achy, tired feeling in your muscles 24-48 hours after class. It's your body saying "we worked hard, we're adapting, we're getting stronger." It's normal. It's actually a good sign.

Pain is sharp, sudden, or localized. It shows up during the pose, not after. It makes you wince or hold your breath. It's your body saying "stop, something's wrong."

Here's the key: You should never push through pain in yoga. Ever.

Soreness? That's part of the process. But pain means it's time to back off, modify, or ask your teacher for help. Your body isn't being dramatic—it's protecting you.

Yoga isn't about forcing yourself into shapes. It's about listening, adapting, and honoring what your body needs today.

If something doesn't feel right, speak up. We're here to help you find what works for your body. 💙

🧡 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🧡

Our favorite posts are not the ones about us, but rather the ones about YOU, the humans that we are blessed to see and know! Deb is our spotlight student and we are honored to know her, be graced by her smiles when she walks through the door, and share in a lot of giggles and laughs! Deb is a wonderfully amazing person with a huge heart, a caring soul, and a generous spirit.

Deb shares a bit about her yoga journey and how her yoga practice has impacted her....

My favorite part of Yoga at Yoga Pointe, is walking through the door and being greeted by a smile. It is a place where I can leave the outside world behind and return to peace and love. Yoga is my constant in the busyness and chaos that life has to offer. It calms my spirit and my mind. The intentions set in class give me insight that carry into my own daily practice and daily life and the workout is always an added benefit.

One of the greatest benefits that I have gained from Yoga is learning to breathe with intention. Through practice, I realized for many years I held my breath- when I was stressed, trying to control situations or when I was angry or frustrated. By learning to breathe properly and by applying the intentions shared by the instructors, I’ve become a more patient and understanding human being.

We love you to the moon and back Deb!!!
XOXO 🧡

🧡 Welcome to our new Instructor Corinne!!! 🧡

Corinne shares a bit about her yoga journey....

✨ My yoga journey began over 14 years ago as a way to cope with life’s challenges. I was first drawn to the physical challenge of the asana practice, but over time yoga revealed itself as something much deeper. Through seasons of turbulence and change, yoga became a steady source of grounding, peace, and self-connection.

✨ My intention as a teacher is to serve as a gentle guide, inviting students to come back to themselves - to listen, honor, and trust their own experience on the mat. I hope my classes offer a space where you can move with intention, breathe fully, and reconnect with what feels true for you.

✨ I completed my training in Tallahassee, Florida at Journeys in Yoga, studying a variety of yoga styles. While I enjoy many approaches, my favorite styles to teach are yin and vinyasa flow, blending mindful movement with moments of stillness.

✨ Off the mat, I love traveling with my family, hiking, writing, and soaking in live music at concerts. These passions continue to inspire the way I show up - both in life and in my teaching.

🙏 Corinne has been a long time student at Yoga Pointe and we are so blessed to welcome her as an Instructor!! 😍
