So I've been having seizures whenever I'm sick or on my period...anyone else? I was put back on Keppra at my last hospital visit and it seemed to help so far.

Even though they're supposed to be PNES, I have been diagnosed with epileptic as well, hence the Keppra.

Any new info or experiences you would lie to share?

Recently had seizure episodes back to back and was mistreated at the local hospital again. The doctor was treating me until she read my history of PNES. She stopped all treatment immediately and told me when I came to no more meds for you, you can wake up and stop now. As if I was faking them. Because I love to have every muscle hurt in my body and have terrible headaches after. Then she told my mom to admit me to psych. Of course my mom was like hell no and I said I just wanna go home. After getting keppra they stopped so PNES vs epileptic seizures again. My New Year’s resolution is to spread more awareness to healthcare professionals! Also, to see an epileptologist to get to the bottom of these.

My 6 month old yorkie died today. The vet didn’t know why. Parvo was negative. We’re all so sad.

So good news I’ve been seizure free for almost 4 weeks and have been able to return to work! I have returned to a full time job and have been promoted to supervisor. Going back to what I love most in life has helped me and my seizures get better. Getting back into my routine has been the best thing. Keep moving forward yall! We can have a somewhat normal life!! I hope this helps one person to know it is possible!!
