Connected Pathways

Connected Pathways Helping Healing Happen We are here for you in those times. We also help you be able to recognize negative interaction cycles and help navigate change.

Vision
At Connected Pathways our understanding is that life gets hard and there are times of disconnection in your relationships (family, friends, community, or romantic relationships). We help teach communication skills that will benefit you by being able to communicate for understanding instead of reacting within your relationships. Mission
Connected Pathways strives to help clients form strong, healthy, and balanced relationships within the client’s systems in order to promote healing with self and others. About Connected Pathways
Connected Pathways is about keeping your family and relationship connected despite having different paths taken in life. When we start out in our family of origin, we are on the path of our family. As we start to grow up and venture out on our own paths, others may join our path. The routes we take may create detours or merge a few different times with others, sometimes for a season and sometimes for life. Connected Pathways is here to help you navigate your path and keep you connected with your loved ones while keeping or finding your individuality. Our founder, Andrea (Andi) Griffith has a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently a Registered Intern with the state of Florida. Andi has worked as a teacher from 2016 to 2023. She has also worked in the school system on the mental health side of the education system. She specializes in working with teens and parents and has experience working with couples as well. Andi created Connected Pathways because she is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and becoming the best version of themselves.

Every couple goes through issues. As a couple, do you have the conflict resolution skills, communication skills, and team perspective to handle any problem that comes your way?

If the answer is no, consider Connected Pathways as a safe place to learn, as a partnership, the skills necessary to revive your relationship. Even if you aren't facing challenges now, having a foundation of skills to rely on when you do have conflict and challenges will serve you well.

You or someone you know getting married? Connected Pathways is now offering pre-marital counseling where couples will develop conflict resolution skills, become aware of areas of growth as well as areas of strength, take a look at how their family of origin and engrained perceptions of the world/relationships impact them as a couple, and dig deep into Gottman's 7 Principles of making a marriage work. Andi is Prepare Enrich certified but also brings in her own experience, a dialogue meant to help couples communicate for understanding verses reacting to each other, Concepts of Emotionally Focused Therapy, attachment styles, love languages, and more.

You don't have to be in the middle of conflict to seek out couples therapy whether you are engaged, married, in a committed relationship of any size or shape. You don't go to therapy because there is something wrong with you or you are broken. You go to therapy to fix your strategy because the things you have been doing in the past aren't working any longer. Even better if you develop strategies that you can rely on later in life individually and as a couple.

One of many announcements coming!!! Andi is now a fully Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)!
In case you are wondering, it is a long process to become a licensed mental health professional. You have to have your Master's degree (Andi got hers in Marriage and Family Therapy) in which you do an internship (student internship). After graduation, you have to apply for a Registered Internship through the state of Florida.
During Registered Internship one must get:
1500 client hours
100 hours of supervision
pass a national exam (it was hard!!!)
take 3 additional CE courses
then apply and pay a hefty fee to become licensed!

It took Andi 5 years to complete the whole process! New in person hours available!

Call now to schedule your appointment!

Accepting new clients!

Tired of feeling stuck or repeating the same patterns without understanding why you can’t seem to break free no matter how hard you try? Sometimes all that is needed is a change in strategy. Sometimes influence from a previous or current relationship takes away the ability to trust yourself. It may feel like you’re constantly playing tug of war with yourself. Often there is shame, guilt, and other negative feelings attached. Seeking help in these situations doesn't mean you are broken or weak, but rather human. It takes courage and strength to ask for help. Be proud of yourself and know that there is hope it won’t always be this way.

I offer sessions where we explore negative interaction patterns, things from your life experiences that may be holding you back, attachment styles, and how those things contribute to how you respond. I also help those in unhealthy relationships heal and get on the right track to have secure attachment and healthier, satisfying relationships.

My first priority is to build a safe place for anyone involved to be able to express their feelings and thoughts. My second priority is to ensure you are getting what you need from therapy. In my practice, you are not just another number, you matter and I genuinely want to help you grow, heal, and become the best version of yourself.

We are only responsible and in control of our own thoughts, feelings, actions, behaviors, responses, and mindset. Your spouse, children, parents, friends, coworkers, and so on are in control of their own choices.
When in toxic relationships of any kind, it can feel like the other person's behavior is a direct reflection of you, but it isn't. Let go of the feeling of responsibility of how other's move in the world. You can help encourage, show kindness, and all the positive things, but you absolutely have no control over how they behave.
