What an awesome opportunity to support the AMBUCS event this weekend. They build ramps for seniors in their community for absolutely now cost and use this event to fundraiser their efforts. All the labor is from community volunteers and ramps are made custom to each person needs.

We met some amazing people who support this cause and the ones who build these ramps. Great to see the event double in size this year and hopefully help them take care of even more people.

Dementia and Alzheimer's care take very special hearted people to carrying out the needs of these amazing people.

Check out this small story of how a caregiver/med tech enriches his community and the care of others through music.

Those suffering from these diseases need that caring, compassionate and loving efforts to help them each and everyday. We are so blessed to be able to have so many caregivers with hearts like this young man.

💛 Songs of Love for People with Memory Loss 💛

I just came across this beautiful story and had to share. A nonprofit organization is creating personalized songs for people living with memory loss — and the results are incredibly moving.

Caregivers can request a custom song filled with someone’s favorite things, memories, and life experiences. Each song is written and performed by talented volunteer musicians and delivered on a USB drive. These songs are helping people reconnect with cherished memories and feel joy in such a meaningful way.

The impact is real — families say these songs help keep memories alive and strengthen moments of connection. ❤️🎶

What an inspiring day at Bonnet Springs Park 💜 — our community came together for the Polk County Walk to End Alzheimer’s. We walked, we remembered, and we stood in solidarity with all families touched by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

At Helping Hand Nursing Services, we believe in supporting seniors and their loved ones — today reminded us how powerful compassion, community, and connection can be.

Helping Hand Nursing Services is a locally owned and operated Nurse Registry that has been providing the most affordable and comprehensive home care for over 27 years in Polk and Hillsborough counties. Our administrator is a registered nurse with over thirty given years of experience. She is an RN, BSN, CCRN and specializes in home health care and geriatric care management. Helping Hand Nursing Services has worked with doctors, nursing homes, home health care agencies, and hospitals in a combined effort to keep senior citizens, recovering persons or disabled patients in the comfort of their own homes or familiar environment.

At Helping Hand Nursing Services, we care about you and your loved ones. Our trained staff at Helping Hand Nursing Services carefully selects a home care aide specifically suited for each of our clients. Careful screening and personal interviews assure that all home care aides have integrity, experience and meet our agency’s highest ethical standards. Our RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s, HHA’s, Homemakers, and Companions are extensively trained, experienced, and matched to your preference.

We offer a comprehensive range of services to the client and family, both in the hospital and at home or home environment such as a facility (ALF/Nursing Home). Welcome Home Program - Helping Hand pioneered and developed the Welcome Home Program. The client receives 8 hours of care, transitioning them from the hospital or nursing facility to home. This includes transportation home, grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, or any of the 101 ways we make coming home a happy and stress free experience.
