As a physician and recent patient in a hospital, I'm appalled at the lack of care and compassion and how its gotten so bad with the advent of the electronic medical record which is no more than a glorified cash register. The hospitals purposely hire new and underqualified nurses and doctors because number 1.) they follow the preprogrammed orders in the computer designed to bill the maximum amount for tests and procedures before they kick you out the door and send you an enormous bill and number 2 all the good doctors and nurses are leaving medicine because of the burnout and stress of following these cookbook guidelines, which BTW have no scientific evidence they improve care. Unfortunately most nurses and doctors have grown to accept the "clinical guidelines" suggested by the computer which in my opinion often have little do to with what's right for the patient. The doctors never even examined me beyond picking up the sheet to look at my legs, no physician exam only ordering and relying on tests before admitting me. I was literally afraid for my life. This has to stop now and we need to start to take our hospitals back from the corporately controlled hierarchy they have put in place in order to control doctors and nurses. And Doctors need to be allowed to unionize now in order to protect patient rights because when doctors, nurses and staff members recognize these deficiencies and report them they are often fired, or labeled a "bad doctor" by the corporate administration and bullied by credentialing committees controlled by the administration. This has become the norm and not the exception. So please stop and share this and start to fight back now! Your life and families' lives depend on it now!🥲
