Sunshine Ranch Therapeutic Riding "Together We Shine Brighter." Sunshine Ranch provides therapeutic horseback riding & horsemanship services to children and adults with special needs.

With our staff of professional instructors, kind volunteers, and well-trained horses, we offer life-enriching instruction and experiences that provide an opportunity for the cross-over of skills that are beneficial in daily life. Our programs and services, coupled with the amazing therapeutic effects that only horses can provide, build confidence, trust, regulation, social skills, strength, balanc

We had a super fun & productive day at the ranch today! In addition to Liam’s lesson, our 3 volunteers worked so hard & checked all of the requested jobs off of today’s list. Volunteer Emily gave Rosie a much-needed bath, then took her for a long walk. Rosie was SO shiny!🤎🧡🌟🤎🧡

Ava & Rosie had another great lesson together this week! Ava continues to work on connection & courage with our horses. We do groundwork before riding to build the relationship & focus on safety. Ava was nervous yesterday that her fear would make Rosie afraid too, which is a very valid concern because horses are so sensitive & aware. But Rosie & Ms. Stephanie were also working together in the lesson & we practice this a lot. Helping nervous/fearful riders build trust, confidence, & bravery is a HUGE, important part of our job. Rosie proved to Ava yesterday that she is still safe & confident as Ava works on her goals. We are very proud of both our students & our horses!🩷☀️🤠🐴🥰💪

The Ranch is our own little nature show😍! Yesterday we saw that this brand new little baby had hatched (there were originally 3 eggs in this nest by the picnic table). Today there were 2 chickies! The parents look like red finches/house finches. These babies are just too cute!❤️🐣🐥❤️
