In cooperation with Lake County Emergency Management:
Lake County Hazard Mitigation Plan Survey (Please use QR code or go to: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=Mmk_qnz6tEegzqWYytFhz7h_pM0oNydCvVlVkP-TiDRUMFQyOFIwVFFWSlVIVkhESE5MMTZUT1NYUC4u&origin=QRCode to complete the survey)
Lake County is in the process of updating their Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (NHMP). The NHMP looks to identify local risks from natural hazards, the exposure vulnerable communities and infrastructure have to those risks and devise actionable mitigation strategies to reduce risk.
This community survey is part of the engagement process informing the update of the NHMP. An NHMP is required to be updated every five years by FEMA to receive public assistance during a disaster declaration and to receive funding from FEMA grants. The NHMP update will include a risk assessment of regional natural hazards and mitigation strategies to reduce risk from people, property, and local infrastructure when disasters do inevitably occur.
This survey will be available from June 21, 2025, to September 21, 2025. For questions, to receive more information about the update, or to be involved in the update process, please email Jesse Noone, Natural Hazards Mitigation Planner at DLCD, jesse.noone@dlcd.oregon.gov.
