Ingredients
> 100g Kodiak Waffle Mix
> 1/4C Water
> 100g Low fat Greek yogurt
> 0.5scoop Legion Whey Protein
> 15g Maple Syrup

Mix your waffle mix w water. Cook on a waffle iron. Mix your yogurt, protein powder and maple syrup together. Break off pieces of your waffle, and dip it in your yogurt sauce. Thank yourself for a job well done 😛

Repairing the gut & detox pathways is essential for overall health. The medical community agrees that a damaged gut or inability to process toxins can influence everything from ADHD to depression to joint pain and fatigue, up to dementia, autoimmune diseases & allergies. The largest nerve in your body runs from the gut to the brain (vagus nerve), this is now known as the “highway” of nutrients to our brains. If we are transporting garbage from our mouth, into the gut, that goes to the brain. The brain and bacteria in our guts work together through this highway to control hormone balance (from menopause to fat storage to food cravings), mental health (from depression and anxiety to memory and motivation) and physical health (aches/pains, delayed healing, upset stomachs, skin blemishes etc.). When the body is not getting what it needs, the gut/brain connection generates tons of signals to the body to “fix me” such as fibromyalgia, anxiety, lack of interest, constipation/loose stool, trouble sleeping and on, and on.

The medical industry will have you believe these are all separate problems that each need their own solution but this is far from the truth, and is only a way for pharmaceutical companies to continue making trillions of dollars while you stay sick. Have you ever really been cured by a pharmaceutical? Or just good enough until something else came up? It is a band-aid system. After you take an antibiotic, you get stomach aches when eating… why? Because you do not have the good bacteria anymore to help you digest/absorb your food.

Functional medicine, what I am sharing with you here, is a cure. It harnesses the power and science of your own body, to heal itself.

When you love your workout, it becomes less about the “work” and more about the “out”!
We all know what work is, and most of us don’t love that part. However! The “out” part is the place we go to reset, to refuel, to clear our mind, to have our space.
Fitness is about long term, sustainable approaches. If you don’t love the journey, or the “out”, you won’t stick with it! This is why most diets fail, why most workout programs fail, and why you are left wandering onto the next “trend”.
Let’s get together for coffee and find your reason; the reason that will get you out of bed and keep you motivated - the reason that will make you smile when you workout ❤️😘 forgetting about the “work” and focusing on the “out”

The most common question I get from women at the gym is “can you teach me how to do a pull-up?! My answer is always “😆 YES!!!” ❤️😍❤️ *while jumping up and down with excitement*
The benefits of pullups are amazing for your body and for your mind! Women are more likely than men to fear failure. That means we often won’t try new things unless we have a little confidence we will succeed. This mindset can limit our abilities in life; physically, financially and emotionally.

How hard do you fight when you want something?
Do you hit the last rep and bail... or do you hit that last rep and “make it yours”?! I would be lying if I told you everything I do at the gym is easy... it’s not! I fight every day I’m there!! And sometimes I do fail! But I get back out there, I try to learn from what went wrong, and I try again. And again. And again!
This mentality translates to everything in life.
Do you give up when it gets tough? Do you find a reason you “can’t” or “dont deserve” to succeed?
Or do you remind yourself that you are here for a reason and you deserve to achieve what makes you happy?!
Much of life is what we tell ourselves about the world around us; everything is perspective. Those who say they can, and those who say they can’t, are both right ❤️

What are your goals?
Why is this your goal?
What is your motivation?
How will you keep motivated when it’s hard?
My goal used to be to “look like that person”, and I got so focused on the “end point” that I never enjoyed the journey. I was depressed and lacked confidence because “I wasn’t at the end goal.” I was motivated by IG and other false realities where filters and photoshop rule the world. When times got hard, I usually got more depressed which led to binge eating and insomnia.
Once I realized this damaging cycle, I became determined to stop it. After a lot of reflection and self work, I have changed my views.
My goal is now to be healthy and have fun learning new tricks, or trying the same movement but on one foot, or at a slower pace to “see what happens”. My goal is now focused on the joy movement and self exploration brings me - my motivation comes from loving the journey, not the “end point”. When times get hard, I want to visit the journey because it’s where I’ve learned to love myself for my abilities, not hate myself for my short comings. I’ve learned someone will always be better, smarter, faster, more skilled, and my ego has accepted that I don’t need to be anything other than me.
Fitness and health is more than just the physical, at its root, is self love. It’s acceptance of who you, where you are, what you have to offer, and where you want to be; but not for anyone but you.
Acceptance my friends, is the most beautiful thing in life. It’s where happiness truly resides. Let’s build your happiness, after all, it’s a pursuit not a destination

Grit is perseverance of effort and passion for a particular long-term goal.
You won’t wake up one day and look like an athlete.
Instead you train for it! You supplement for the hard pushes and the intense recoveries. You eat nutritional food to rebuild and replenish you. You get good quality sleep so you can wakeup and do it again.
You have grit. You have perseverance. You have passion. Use it 😘
Find what you want and go get it. No excuses. No backing down. No fear of the unknown. Just grit it!
