Partanen et al. (2022) found that premature infants who received music therapy showed more responsive neural networks after just 4 weeks compared to those who didn’t.
While NMTS doesn’t work directly with NICU populations, this research beautifully supports what we see in early childhood work: music shapes the brain, even from the very beginning. 💙
