Today we recognize the brave women of the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC), established in 1942 during World War II. 🇺🇸

These trailblazing women stepped forward to serve their country in critical roles including communications, mechanics, administration, transportation, and more, helping support the war effort and paving the way for future generations of women in the military.

In 1943, the WAAC became the Women’s Army Corps (WAC), granting women full military status in the U.S. Army.

Their courage, dedication, and service changed history. We honor their legacy and thank all women who have served our nation. ❤️🤍💙

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Past President, Arlene Mae Lewis.

Arlene was a dedicated member of our VFW Auxiliary family whose kindness, service, and devotion touched so many lives. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. ❤️

Arlene Mae Lewis, age 95, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on her 95th birthday, May 8, 2026, at Trinity Care Center in Farmington. Arlene was born on May 8, 1931, in Rosemount to William and Clara Menzhuber Bartelt. She graduated from Rosemount High School in

Yesterday, at our Auxiliary meeting, we paused to remember…

During our Charter Draping ceremony, we honored the brothers and sisters of our Auxiliary who are no longer with us. Their dedication, kindness, and service made a lasting impact on our organization and our community.

Though they are gone, their spirit lives on in all that we do. ❤️

The Mid-Winter Conference has officially come to an end, and it was an incredibly informative and enjoyable weekend filled with meaningful discussions, collaboration, and camaraderie. I am especially excited and honored to share that we were awarded 1st Place in Category 2 (Memorial) in the Poppy Display Contest. This recognition is a true testament to the hard work, creativity, and dedication that went into creating our display that honors our veterans and their sacrifice.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays! Lakeville VFW Post 210 and the Lakeville Auxiliary got together for a Holiday Social. Members and guests gathered at Babe's in downtown Lakeville to toast the Christmas Season. The relaxed event capped off what has been a busy year for the Post and Auxiliary.
