THE PROGRAM
Using Hypnosis to Help Lighten the Darkness of Depression
This two-hour workshop focuses on using clinical hypnosis with clients suffering from various types and experiences of depression, including primary and secondary forms of the condition. The first part of the presentation provides a detailed explication about the diagnosis regarding types of depression and forms of treatments, while the second part focuses on the experiential elements of depression and clinical methods involving hypnosis for moving a client into different types of experiences regarding their emotional and perhaps biological immobility.
The overall goal of the presentation is to help hypnotically inclined and hypnotically trained clinicians learn new ways of thinking about clinical hypnosis and how to bring various hypnotic processes into the treatment environment when dealing with depressed clients.
This presentation will consist of lecture presentation, demonstration and practice modalities.
