El bienestar no es universal. Es profundamente personal y se ve influenciado por nuestros valores, circunstancias y prioridades. Lo que hace que una persona se sienta realizada puede no funcionar igual para otra. La personalidad, las relaciones, la situación financiera y el acceso a los recursos influyen en cómo definimos y experimentamos el bienestar. 💫
Aquí tienes algunas maneras de honrar tu visión del bienestar:
Define tus valores: Identifica lo que realmente te importa y deja que guíe tus decisiones.
Cuida tus relaciones: Crea conexiones que te brinden alegría y apoyo.
Sé consciente de los recursos: Reconoce cómo tu entorno, tus finanzas y tus oportunidades influyen en tu bienestar.
Personaliza tu autocuidado: Elige actividades que se alineen con tus intereses, no solo con las modas.
Reflexiona sobre ti mismo: Reflexiona regularmente sobre si tus hábitos actuales contribuyen a tu salud mental, emocional y física.

Well-being is not “one size fits all.” It’s deeply personal and influenced by our unique values, circumstances, and priorities. What makes one person feel fulfilled may not work the same way for another. Personality, relationships, financial situation, and access to resources all shape how we define and experience well-being. 💫
Here are some ways to honor your version of well-being:
Define your values: Identify what truly matters to you and let it guide your choices.
Nurture relationships: Build connections that bring you joy and support.
Be mindful of resources: Recognize how your environment, finances, and opportunities influence your wellness.
Personalize self-care: Choose activities that align with your interests, not just trends.
Check in with yourself: Regularly reflect on whether your current habits serve your mental, emotional, and physical health.

El bienestar es la experiencia de salud, felicidad y prosperidad. Incluye buena salud mental, alta satisfacción vital, un sentido de propósito y la capacidad de manejar el estrés. Hoy, abordaremos pasos positivos para el bienestar.
Sé amable contigo mismo: Practica la autocompasión y anímate.
Participa en nuevas actividades: Empieza un pasatiempo o aprende una nueva habilidad.
Ayuda a los demás: Participa en trabajo comunitario o ayuda a tus conocidos.
Come sano: Mantén una dieta regular y equilibrada.
Conéctate con los demás: Mantén contacto frecuente con familiares y amigos.
Ve el panorama general: Amplía tu perspectiva y considera puntos de vista alternativos.
Haz ejercicio regularmente: Realiza actividad física, preferiblemente al aire libre.

Well-being is the experience of health, happiness, and prosperity. It includes having good mental health, high life satisfaction, a sense of meaning or purpose, and the ability to manage stress. Today, we will cover positive steps to wellbeing
Be kind to yourself: Practice self-compassion and encourage yourself.
Engage in new activities: Take up a hobby or learn a new skill.
Help others: Participate in community work or assist people you know.
Eat healthily: Maintain a regular, balanced diet.
Connect with others: Stay in frequent contact with family and friends.
See the bigger picture: Broaden your perspective and consider alternative viewpoints.
Exercise regularly: Engage in physical activity, preferably outdoors.

La experiencia de cada persona con el trauma es única. Algunas personas desarrollarán todos los síntomas, mientras que otras desarrollarán muy pocos. La siguiente lista de síntomas no es exhaustiva y no debe utilizarse para establecer un diagnóstico:
Evitación de recordatorios del trauma, incluyendo recuerdos, Respuesta de sobresalto exagerada, Irritabilidad, ira y otras emociones negativas, Recuerdos del evento traumático, Sueños angustiosos y otros problemas de sueño, Autoculpa por el evento traumático.

Everyone’s experience with trauma is unique. Some people will develop every symptom, while others will develop very few. The following list of symptoms is not comprehensive and should not be used to form a diagnosis:
avoidance of trauma reminders, including memories,
exaggerated startle response, irritability, anger, and other negative emotions, flashbacks to the traumatic event, distressing dreams and other sleep problems, self-blame regarding the traumatic event

The experience happened repeatedly, or over a prolonged period of time.
The trauma occurred during childhood.
Feeling of helplessness during the experience.

I wanted to express my gratitude to all the clients who patiently waited for me to return from leave so I can deliver her safely while also taking some time to recover. Sharing a timeline on how I poured back into myself through postpartum hoping it helps someone out there too:

Week 1- 8: I was in complete bed rest to allow my body to recover through post partum 

Week 9: continued with PT, focused on establishing my diet and juicing again

Week 10: started going on longer walks and back into society 

Week 11 - This is where I am now. I have started doing some more heavy lifting and stretching my body 

Week 12 - will be next week so I will start with some light yoga in preperation for a gradual return to a consisten workout routine 

*Through all of this I have mantained weekly individual and group therapy sessions. 

To all the mamis out there remember every BODY is different just like our circumstances so listen to your heart & your body, don't rush into things, you know what is best at the end of the day! If you are anyone you know is needing support through the perinatal period make sure you send them my way.
