Company & Position Summary:

Critical Care, Pulmonary and Sleep Associates is a multispecialty private physician practice, providing Critical Care, Pulmonary and Sleep medical services to the Denver metro area for over 40 years. Our dedicated team of over 30 Board Certified Critical Care, Pulmonary and Sleep Physicians along with our skilled clinical and administrative staff exclusively serve five Centura Health Hospital ICU’s and ten outpatient clinic locations spanning Colorado’s front range. CCPSA’s company culture exemplifies excellence in patient centered care, unified teamwork and highly collaborative approach in all business and clinical operations. We are currently seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join our committed team of professionals.

The Respiratory Therapist is an essential clinical role, providing onsite clinical support to our Pulmonary and Sleep clinic's day to day operations. The Respiratory Therapist must hold an RT license in the state of CO, and hold PFT specialty credentials, RRT and RPFT preferred, and have experience within the respiratory field. Working in conjunction with RNs and Medical Assistants, they will assist in administering pulmonary function tests, oxygen and PAP management, nebulizer and inhaler instruction, care coordination as well as other operational and clinical duties. It is necessary that within this role, the Respiratory Therapist cultivates and supports a strong team culture and collaborative environment centered on consistently delivering exceptional patient care.

This is a part-time position. One day a week, 10 hours a day.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

Promote the CCPSA culture of team collaboration, while providing excellent clinical care to our patients.
Perform Pulmonary Function Testing and methacholine challenges.
Build strong positive communication with clinic staff to increase the success of the practice and provide excellent patient care.
In collaboration with the Providers, develop patient education on PFT testing, inhalers and oxygen.
Perform prior authorizations of PFT tests.
Provide group education classes -O2, inhalers, specific disease education.
Provide staff education.
Communicate PFT and methacholine results to patients.
Patient support for respiratory related clinical questions.
This position requires approximately 30% - 50% monthly travel to our other outpatient clinics within the Denver-metro area.
Skills, Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

RT license required, RRT preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the respiratory field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing PFTs and methacholine challenges.
Strong clinical knowledge, ability to observe and monitor signs, symptoms, reactions, general behavior, and general patient response to respiratory care or treatment.
Demonstrate knowledge of creating excellent patient experiences in an outpatient clinic setting.
Respect patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality in accordance to HIPAA requirements.
Superior communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate via email, telephone and in person with patients, Providers and staff.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Computer proficiency, knowledge of EMR systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to drive between CCPSA Denver Metro locations intermittently for meetings.
Ability to sit for extended time periods.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
Compensation:

Competitive pay.

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our committed team of professionals.

The Certified Medical Assistant position is responsible for supporting our Pulmonary and Sleep Providers within our outpatient clinics. Under direct supervision, Certified Medical Assistants perform a variety of routine clinical services to deliver safe and appropriate patient care, within the scope of their practice and established policies and procedures. It is necessary that within this role, employees cultivate and support a strong team culture, as well as a collaborative environment centered on consistently delivering exceptional patient care.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

Promote the CCPSA culture of team collaboration, while providing excellent clinical care to our patients
Room patients in professional and timely manner
Check vitals, update charts and perform a variety of task such as spirometry, oxygen titration, etc.
Responsible for blood draws, giving injections, obtaining specimens and skin testing, as directed by providers
Manages orders, including prior authorizations
Manages prescription refill requests
Reviewing charts and prepares for following day patient flow
Prepares exam rooms with necessary supplies, while ensuring supplies are properly stocked
This position requires approximately 20% – 30% monthly travel to our other outpatient clinics within the Denver-metro area

Skills, Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Successful graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required
Approximately 1+ years Medical Assisting experience
RMA or CMA preferred
Respect patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality in accordance to HIPAA requirements.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Patient centered focus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Dr. Elmasri earned her medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She served her residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care at the University of California, San Diego. She then went on to do her Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship at Duke University in Durham, NC. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and board eligible in Critical Care and Interventional Pulmonary Medicine. She has a special interest in Interventional Pulmonary Medicine.
