Try it today:
Instead of “I’m so lazy,” try “My body is asking for rest.”
Instead of “I have to work,” try “I choose to show up for my goals.”

Self talk is more important than most people realize.

This is what mental wellness looks like — choosing kindness in the quiet moments.

Breakups can leave an ache that lingers longer than we expect. 💔

Even when you know the relationship needed to end, your mind can keep replaying memories, wondering “what if,” or missing the comfort of what once felt familiar. Healing from that kind of loss isn’t something you can force or rush.

Instead, it often comes from small, intentional steps.
The goal isn’t to “get over it” overnight.
It’s to move through it with compassion for yourself.

If you’re navigating the end of a relationship right now, you’re not alone—and support can make a difference.

We’re excited to share that Tribe Mind Body Wellness has been recognized as a Family-Friendly Workplace.

Last month, we completed an assessment with the Center for Health, Work & Environment at the Colorado School of Public Health, in partnership with the Greater Arvada Chamber Of Commerce. The assessment looks at workplace culture, policies, and practices that support staff and their families.

We were just notified that Tribe earned the Family-Friendly Workplace badge, recognizing our commitment to flexibility and creating a supportive environment for our team.

This recognition reflects the culture we’ve built together. When people feel supported in their lives outside of work, they are better able to show up for the people they serve.

We’re proud of our team and grateful to be part of a community that values workplaces where both people and families matter.

Your brain wasn’t designed for endless dopamine hits.

Doom scrolling gives you tiny bursts of stimulation—new post, new headline, new video—over and over again. Your brain gets a quick reward… and then an equally quick drop.

That drop can leave you feeling more anxious, more drained, and somehow still unsatisfied.

It’s not a lack of discipline.
It’s your nervous system getting stuck in a cycle of fast highs and hard crashes.

Sometimes the most regulating thing you can do is pause, put the phone down, and give your brain something slower:
• a walk
• a breath
• a real conversation
• a moment of quiet

Your mind deserves more than constant noise.

I kept walking past that little wall in our Arvada office thinking, this just doesn’t fit.

It wasn’t terrible. It wasn’t falling apart. It was just… off.

And that’s the tricky part about growth.
Most of the time, what needs to change in our lives isn’t dramatic or catastrophic. It’s subtle. It’s a quiet nudge. A feeling that something isn’t aligned anymore.

That weird cabinet door at the top of the wall stayed there for months because I didn’t know what to do instead. I had the awareness before I had the plan.

Eventually I started paying attention to what I was drawn to. I gathered ideas. I made a vision. I invested money. I invested time. I put in sweat equity.

And halfway through putting up that hedge wall, I wanted to quit.

It felt harder than expected. Messier than expected. I questioned whether it was worth it.

But that’s how change works emotionally too.

You realize something isn’t working.
You sit with it.
You think about it.
You imagine something better.
You start making changes.

And somewhere in the middle, it feels uncomfortable enough that going back almost seems easier.

Growth asks something of us.
Energy. Courage. Consistency.
The willingness to look at what isn’t aligned and do something about it.

Now when you walk into Tribe and see the green hedge wall with the neon “Welcome to Tribe,” it feels intentional. It feels aligned. It feels like us.

That wall reminds me that the discomfort in the middle is often the price of creating something you’re proud of.

So I’ll ask you here too:

What in your life feels “off” right now?
And what would it look like to put in the sweat equity to change it?

Low energy doesn’t always mean you’re unmotivated.
Sometimes your mind is overloaded, your body is tired, or your space is draining you.

Try a quick reset:

✨ Mind — step away from the noise
✨ Body — hydrate + move a little
✨ Space — clear one small area

You don’t have to overhaul your life.
Start with one small shift.

And if the heaviness lingers, that’s not a flaw — it’s a signal

Meet Maverick. 🐾

Emily’s Bernedoodle Maverick is currently training to become Tribe’s service dog!

There’s something powerful about the presence of a dog in a therapy space.
They don’t rush.
They don’t judge.
They don’t try to fix.
They co-regulate.

For so many clients — especially children, teens, and those navigating anxiety or trauma — a calm dog can help lower defenses, soften tension, and make it easier to feel safe enough to open up.

Dogs are attuned to energy.
They sense shifts in emotion.
They offer grounding through something simple and steady — touch, eye contact, proximity.

Maverick is learning how to hold that space intentionally.
And we’re so excited for what his presence will offer our community. 💛
Sometimes healing starts with feeling safe.
And sometimes… safety has four paws.

Change is hard.

Not because you’re incapable.
But because your brain is wired for familiarity.

Even the patterns that exhaust you can feel “safe” simply because they’re known.

Real change asks your nervous system to try something different.
To pause instead of react.
To speak up instead of stay quiet.
To rest instead of over-function.

That takes repetition.
And patience.

You don’t rewire years of coping in one breakthrough moment.
You build it through small, consistent shifts.

Practice. Reflect. Try again.

Growth isn’t dramatic.
It’s repetitive — and that’s what makes it stick. 💛

Together, we’ll find personalized tools that support your growth and help you feel more grounded, empowered, and alive.

In our work together, we’ll use tools like:
Parts work based on Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore and understand different aspects of your inner world
Gestalt therapy, focusing on the here and now to deepen presence and awareness
AcuDetox, a form of ear acupuncture used in-session to promote grounding and emotional regulation

My holistic orientation considers your mind, body, heart, and spirit—recognizing that true healing touches every part of your being.
