About the Shadow:
In many traditions light is considered a symbol for consciousness. Imagine light as the Sun, which brings forth daytime, so we can see precisely what we are doing and where we are going.

Light illuminates our world and brings it into awareness, thereby
enabling us to act with intention and rational intelligence. Darkness is implied by light.

Light not only has the property of illuminating dark places, but also casts shadows when contacting the ordinary world of form that we inhabit. Darkness is primarily a symbol for that which is not illuminated in our consciousness; the unacknowledged, hidden, unconscious part of ourselves that moves silently in the depths of our psyches.

Darkness therefore represents a level consciousness that is outside our knowledge and
control.....this is The Shadow.

The shadow is completely neutral which means it is not positive or negative, or something to be feared. By embracing our Shadow, we can become the best versions of ourselves and stop projection and judgments of ourselves and others!
