Today we're sharing a follower-submitted recipe for a delicious, healthy turkey chili:
Ingredients:
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 onion, diced
• 1 green pepper, diced
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 pound ground turkey
• 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
• 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 teaspoon chili powder
• 1 teaspoon cumin
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion, green pepper, and garlic, and cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
2. Add the turkey and cook through until browned.
3. Add the tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir until everything is evenly mixed and heated through.
4. Divide into bowls and garnish with cilantro.
