🐶🐾🐱Last week we hosted a Pet Safety for Caregivers training class, and it was a great learning experience for our team.

We had the privilege of welcoming retired veterinary medicine doctor, Dr. Gregg Bennett, who shared valuable insight on what professional home caregivers should know when working in homes with animals. Since pets are often beloved family members, it’s important that our caregivers feel confident and safe when interacting with them while providing care.

The class was well attended, and our caregivers appreciated the practical tips and real-life experiences Dr. Bennett shared. Thank you, Dr. Bennett, for taking the time to share your knowledge with us and help our caregivers stay safe while working in the homes we serve.

We are so grateful for our incredible Advanced Health Care caregivers who serve our seniors and vulnerable adults every day with compassion and professionalism. We also recognize the family caregivers we are honored to partner with — spouses, children, siblings, trusted friends and loved ones who also give their time, energy, and hearts to this important work.

In Washington, more than 1.3 million adults (22%) provide care for a family member or friend. Many are working while caregiving, raising children, or even managing their own health challenges.

🏛️ 2026 In-Home Services Day at the Washington State Capitol 🏛️

Advanced Health Care was proud to participate in In-Home Services Day at the WA State Capitol in Olympia, standing alongside partners like Assured Home Health, Hospice & Palliative Care, Providence Palliative Care, and many others.

Home care, home health, private duty nursing, palliative care, and hospice providers came together to advocate for clients who rely on in-home services to remain safe, supported, and independent — and to help prevent unnecessary transitions into more expensive, higher levels of care.

In-home services don’t just improve quality of life — they also save healthcare dollars by keeping people where they want to be most: at home.
