Potluck Friday at Sierra! Staff contributed some incredible food including assorted homemade chilies, pasta, barbacoa quesadillas and some delicious "corn stuff". Just one of so many fun team building events every month. Happy staff. Happy residents!

Look at what is new at Sierra Post Acute! After weeks of creative genius, the outdoor area for our residents has a bright new look. The new mural represents the beauty of the Colorado outdoors. And spring planting is the perfect finishing touch!

Here are five reasons nursing assistants deserve recognition, respect, and appreciation during CNA Week—and throughout the year:

CNAs are the compassionate faces that patients rely on for comfort, dignity, and reassurance during vulnerable moments

CNAs play a critical role in maintaining a safe patient environment by ensuring proper hygiene, assisting with mobility, and adhering to infection control protocols.

CNAs apply keen observation skills to help detect subtle changes in patient conditions, allowing for early intervention and preventing potential complications.

CNAs collaborate closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, forming a cohesive team that delivers the highest quality care.

CNA work is physically demanding and involves lifting and moving patients, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks.

At Sierra Post Acute we ALL thank our CNAs for their devotion and excellent care for our residents! We celebrate every one of you this week!

Congratulations to Sierra Post Acute HR Director Iva Oran. Iva and her pup (and official mascot of Sierra PA) “Coco Chanel #5” took many awards at the Foothills Kennel Club dog show over the weekend. Well done Coco and Iva!

Sierra Post Acute residents participated in a volunteer project for our local West Metro fire fighters. In addition to putting together gift baskets with snacks, drinks, and various tokens of appreciation, the West Metro firefighters were presented with a thank you card signed by our residents. We are thankful for everything they do for our community!
