Judi Terrill, Founder and Executive Director of Jade Woman de LaLonde, Inc, is the mastermind behind the entire organization. She has eighteen years of experience as a Chinese Medicine Professional. With nature as her basis and guide, Ms. Terrill developed a unique Five Element model to diagnose and treat children, parents, families and other adults. This nature based art form of the medicine uses elements in nature, specifically, water, wood, fire, earth and metal to identify the individual characteristics, needs and best environment for healthy development and wellbeing. Treatment focuses on the entire being, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. She has often helped both children and adults that Western Medicine has been unsuccessful diagnosing and treating. In addition to her experience and expertise in Chinese Medicine practice, teaching and program development, Ms. Terrill had an extensive career in Corporate America as a Corporate Executive and Officer in Finance, Management and Administration.

From ancient Chinese healers to Western writers such as Henry David Thoreau, the belief that connecting with the natural world improves well-being repeatedly appears throughout recorded human history. This belief resonates over time and across cultures, yet numerous studies suggest we're ignoring this wisdom, and are disconnected, both physically and psychologically, from nature.

Despite the abundance of research demonstrating the beneficial effects that nature has on cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being, nature-based activities are underutilized as a mental health strategy. This is surprising, given that research suggests that connecting children with nature brings only positive results.

March reminds us that transformation doesn’t happen overnight. It unfolds quietly through rain showers, longer days, and tiny blossoms pushing through the soil.

March carries the energy of movement. It inspires courage, growth, and the willingness to begin again. As you move through this month, allow yourself to grow slowly. Embrace fresh beginnings.

March bears many gifts ~
• Longer daylight hours
• The first spring flowers
• Crisp mornings and mild afternoons
• Fresh air after months indoors
• Rain showers that nourish growth
• The feeling of starting over

February is merely as long as is needed to pass the time until March. - J.R. Stockton

During winter, the season of water, we’ve noted that children love rain and snow. They love water in general. Whether it’s jumping into a lake, running through sprinklers, or splashing in rain puddles, children have an endless fascination with water. But why? The answer lies in a mix of sensory stimulation, learning opportunities, and sheer joy!

Children explore the world through their senses, and water offers a rich sensory experience. The feeling of rain on skin, the sound of splashing, and even the sight of ripples from skipping stones all provide exciting sensations that stimulate young minds. Water also allows kids to experiment with textures, temperatures, and movement, making it a fun and educational experience.

Head into the woods this weekend — it will benefit everyone, including the trees. 🌳

You’re never too young to learn about trees. Helping children connect with nature creates future generations conscious of the benefits of trees and forests, and the need to manage them sustainably. Forests will be more important than ever as the world population climbs to 8.5 billion by 2030.

For the love of Nature! 🌿💚

Somewhere deep inside the DNA of every human being is the memory of long ago when all people were truly wild. It’s a bit funny to think of modern humans as domesticated animals, but it is a fairly accurate comparison.

To cultivate appreciation for all aspects of nature is an essential step towards bringing our modern society into harmony with life on this earth.

"If we can teach our children to honor nature’s gifts, the joys and beauties of the outdoors will be here forever." ~ Jimmy Carter

Introduce children to living things and to support their curiosity, exploration, and understanding. Encourage interest in the diversity, beauty, and joy of natural life and an understanding of the importance of the interrelationship of living things.

Happy Monday! Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable or happy. The amount of effort is the same.

Do you hate Mondays? Back to work, back to the grind, back to the stress, etc.? Don’t pass your ‘Moanday’ attitude on to your kids; they should want to go to school, be eager to learn, and enjoy being social.
