The procedure typically takes about 15 minutes for both eyes. Numbing eye drops are used, so you shouldn’t feel pain, though you may feel slight pressure.
What to expect during recovery
Recovery time depends on the type of procedure you have, but many people notice improved vision within a day or two. You may experience some dryness, glare, or sensitivity to light at first, but these symptoms usually improve quickly.
We’ll give you instructions to help your eyes heal, such as using eye drops and avoiding rubbing your eyes. Most people can return to normal activities within a few days.
