Halloween was EPIC at Maple Creek, with a Halloween Dance and Party, after which the residents opened their doors to trick or treaters!!

Bravo!! ~Maple Creek Drama Club~ presented its 7th production in a year and a half this week. ALEX in Wonderland! A re-gendered adaptation (by our own Cat Christ) of the classic CS Lewis tale, this play was our most whacky and hilarious yet!
Maple Creek has talent! :)

Over a dozen residents registered to vote this week, thanks to a couple of extremely knowledgeable and helpful visitors from Indivisible Tacoma.

Last week was Camp Maple Creek theme! We had Merit Badges and badge prizes, making (and eating!!) S'mores, and even a day spent at a campground! :)

GO HAWKS!!
We celebrated National Pajama Day and, more importantly, the OPENING SEAHAWKS GAME, with a BEER, HOT DOGS, POPCORN, ICE CREAM, PAJAMAS SEAHAWKS PARTY!!
Best pajamas won a Seahawks shirt!
SUCH a fun day! :)

Residents enjoyed two amazing outings this week: To the Puyallup Fair, and on a Ferry Ride with a Picnic Lunch! Fresh air, fun, and friends, what could be better? :)

We had a fun snack week in Activities with a Scenic Drive Picnic on the bus, Sponge Cake Creations, a National Banana Split Day celebration, and making a delicious mess with Edible Dirt Bowls!
Yummmmmm :)

Residents celebrated with cat-face painting and remote control rat races in the parking lot.

This is our Memory Angel Tree. Residents create wooden angels for the tree in honor and memory of loved ones who have passed. This is an ongoing project of love...

Maple Creek Drama Club presented our 5th play in a year yesterday.
This production: "Hollywood Arms," written by Carol Burnett and her late daughter about Ms. Burnett's childhood growing up on welfare in a dysfunctional family during the Great Depression. Very emotional, funny, and bittersweet.
Our resident actors grabbed a strong, complicated script and killed it! Bravo!!
