Summer is for sunshine, music, and making memories, not hearing aid mishaps. Keep your devices in top shape with these easy tips:

☀️Keep them dry. Hearing aids aren’t waterproof—so take them out before swimming, showering, or splash-zone adventures.
☀️Avoid extreme heat. Don’t leave them in hot cars, on windowsills, or anywhere in direct sunlight.
☀️Use your dry aid jar. Sweat and moisture happen—even on mild days. Use that jar regularly to prevent damage.
☀️Watch out for sunscreen + bug spray. Apply carefully and let them dry before popping in your hearing aids.
☀️Bring a backup. Got a spare pair? Pack them for peace of mind on trips.

Here are some helpful tips for better communication with those experiencing hearing loss ⬇️

💬 If you have hearing loss:
– Watch the speaker for visual cues
– Reduce background noise when possible
– Ask for rephrasing instead of repeating
– Use your hearing aids consistently
– Repeat back key info to confirm
– Be patient—with yourself and others

💬 If you're talking to someone with hearing loss:
– Speak clearly, not loudly
– Face them so they can see your lips
– Avoid covering your mouth or face
– Minimize distractions
– Get their attention before speaking
– Be patient and willing to rephrase

Remember: Communication is a two-way street. 💛
