📢Monday motivation 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽
What goes in the mind can support it, grow it, tarnish it, stunt it, and or kill it. 🤔 JUST LIKE YOUR TUMMY, BE MINDFUL OF WHAT YOU GIVE YOUR MIND TO CONSUME AND DIGEST ... INDIGESTION OF THE MIND HAPPENS TOO 😵💫
The things we expose our minds to can take us on a roller coaster, now, the impact of that roller coaster influences the quality of life you will have.
You ever be in a good mood then watch a movie or tv show and all of a sudden, your state of being has changed?! 🥴. What you exposed yourself to, opened that door. Sometimes we don’t want or need that door to be opened and we slow exposure anyway 😬 Toxic relationships, over extending ourselves and sacrificing our values/morals, and repeatedly watching negative things in social media/news are just three common examples.
Then all of a sudden we feel burdened, chronically overwhelmed, we start spewing negativity, etc. Thats that cognitive indigestion coming out. 🤢🤮
One thing you can do to help prevent this buildup in your mind and or resolve it when you catch it happening is to take moments throughout the day to breath, relax, and check in with yourself. This can be done ANYWHERE really. And I’m not talking about power sessions or power naps.
I’m talking about doing 2-3 minutes of progressive relaxation, pranayama, focused breathing, etc. whenever and wherever it is needed. Even 60 seconds of focused breathing has been found to have great relaxation effects on the brain. This is the equivalent of taking an antacid for your tummy.
