🌱Acupuncture is used to treat ailments of all kinds. It uses the body’s energy, or “qi,” to help balance, re-align, and ultimately heal itself.
🌱The needles used in Acupuncture are inserted into different points of the skin to help activate the body’s qi, promoting the movement of energy, to support a natural healing process.
🌱Massage and “cupping” are used in some cases to loosen tight, sore muscles and promote the free flow of qi throughout the body!

Dr. Rachelle Forsberg ~ Natural Medicine of Denver
In my practice I utilize the following modalities:
• Naturopathic Medicine - The foundation of the naturopathic approach is to identify and treat the cause. Diet and lifestyle are evaluated and nutritional or botanical supplements are often tried before a higher intervention is utilized. Modalities that naturopaths might employ include orthomolecular nutritional supplementation, diet and lifestyle counseling, homeopathy, or intravenous nutrient treatments. In addition to these complementary medical modalities, a naturopathic physician can prescribe medicine, order lab tests, and refer to specialists.
• Acupuncture - The theory and practice of acupuncture is rooted in ancient traditional Chinese medicine and is a form of medical treatment that has been used for thousands of years. Acupuncture uses the body’s own energy, or “qi,” to help balance, re-align, and ultimately heal itself. For over 3,000 years, acupuncture has been used by doctors throughout eastern Asia to prevent and treat ailments of all kinds. When receiving an acupuncture treatment, very small (nearly hair-thin) needles are inserted in the skin at specific points that help activate the body’s qi, promoting movement of energy and supporting a natural healing process. In some cases, massage and “cupping” may be used to loosen tight, sore muscles and promote the free-flow of qi throughout the body.
• Craniosacral therapy - a form of bodywork that uses very light touch to rebalance the body, mind and spirit. Most patients find this therapy highly relaxing and particularly helpful in addressing problems with pain, headaches, difficulty concentrating and anxiety.
• Botanical medicine - nature’s medicines! There are herbal remedies for any and all physical ailments. If you are someone who is sensitive to medication but in need of natural support for an acute or chronic condition, I will often begin by prescribing an herbal supplement.
• Nutritional supplements - in addition to pharmaceutical medications, I also prescribe pharmaceutical-grade nutritional medications to support patients who desire a natural alternative to their current medication.
• Homeopathy - a very low force form of medicine that addresses the patient from a holistic, or constitutional, perspective. Homeopathy rebalances the patient on a physical, mental and emotional plane. Homeopathy works on the principle of opposites. By opposing parts of the body that are not functioning at their greatest potential, your specific constitutional remedy can remind the body how it exists with greatest ease and harmony within its environment.
As a naturopathic physician, I strongly believe any individual can achieve their optimal state of wellness -- and often without the use of invasive medicines or medical procedures. I am dedicated to educating others on alternative ways they can improve their health and improve their ability to do the things in life that make them feel most alive!
