Retina Care Center is a state of the art ophthalmic Retinal Facility with the most advanced instruments to aid in the diagnosis, allow for rapid accurate treatment and also bring understanding of the disease processes to the patient and their family. Our mission is to offer the best care for our patients while providing compassion, integrity and innovation. Barofsky is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist with advanced training in diseases of the retina, vitreous and macula. He provides care for patients with diseases of the retina that includes the treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears, retinal detachment, retinal vascular diseases, vitreous disorders and uveitis. Tips to help you compare:

Add your prescription drugs and local pharmacies to get better estimates of your prescription drug costs. Double check that your specific prescription drugs are covered by the plan before you enroll in it.

See if your preferred doctors are in-network for the plans you're considering.

More easily search for plans including additional benefits that can improve your daily life — like fitness benefits or vision, hearing, and dental coverage.

Even if you're happy with your current coverage, it's important to check for any changes next year, and compare with other available options. You have until December 7 if you're thinking about making a change.

An important message from Medicare.gov to avoid the latest scam.

Beware of scammers, sometimes posing as salespeople, offering "free" services or gifts. They may be trying to trick you into signing up for hospice care without your knowledge.

Here's how it works:

Scammers text, call, email, post fake ads, or even knock on your door.

They offer "free" gifts or in-home perks, like cooking or cleaning services, protein shakes, medical equipment, or groceries.

In exchange, they may ask for your Medicare Number and ask you to sign a paper.

They're tricking you into signing up for hospice care, so they can fraudulently bill Medicare for services in your name.

Remember: Never give out your Medicare Number and don't sign anything for free services — it's a scam.

Crush Fraud
If you think you may have experienced fraud, call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) or report it online at Medicare.gov/fraud.
