Since 1996, Hanson Services has provided older adults in-home assistance with activities of daily living (ADL's), transportation, meals and housekeeping.

With offices in serving Northeastern Ohio and Western Florida, Hanson Services Inc. is the premier provider of home care and services to older adults. Our Caregivers are screened, insured, bonded and trained. At Hanson, we are dedicated to assisting individuals in the comfort and privacy of their own home with dignity and respect. Services include:
- Meal planning & preparation
-Transportation, shopping & errands
-Assistance with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene and incontinence care.
-Dementia & Alzheimer's care

2026 is a big year for Hanson Services, as it marks our 30th year in business! We have gone through many changes over the years, changes in location, changes in staff and even a change in our owner. In 1996 Mary Ann Hanson started a home care business from her home in Lakewood. Sadly, Mary Ann passed away in 2021, but the business still bears her name. Today we are still located in Lakewood, Ohio and still maintain two offices in Florida (Sun City Center and Fort Myers). Our long time Chief Financial Officer now owns and runs the company. We are proud to have persevered through many challenging times in an extremely challenging industry. We continue to strive to provide service of excellent quality. Here's our crew celebrating bosses' day, October 2025. Happy 30th to us!

Well we made it! Winter is officially here and the days will now start getting (excruciatingly slowly) longer again. We're not getting any breaks with the weather so far this year but we Great Lakes folks are used to it. Lake Erie rarely freezes over completely any more, but it came close in this picture from 2015 (Mark Duncan, AP). Happy Winter Solstice! Bundle up out there!

Maybe you need some time to get shopping and baking done, or to just take some time for yourself to relax or socialize a little! We're here to offer you some respite and you can feel confident that your loved one is safe and cared for while you're taking care of you. Or if you're out of town and concerned about how your loved one might handle the holidays - we can help them with decorating, cooking, getting to a social event they would otherwise miss, or whatever help they need to enjoy their favorite traditions. There are no contracts and no requirements on number of days, but there is a 4 hour minimum for any one day of service.
