I am a holistic healthcare practitioner located in Denver Colorado. As a young person growing up in Colorado, I was always either bringing home sick animals and wanting to cure them, or messing around in the garden, learning about herbs and plants. As I grew up, and with a family history of Western healthcare practitioners (in different areas of practice) I followed, becoming a CNA and working wit

h dementia and people with other brain diseases. Disillusioned with Western healthcare (it has its place) I went back to college to receive my BS in Anthropology- I wanted to be like Sean Connery in 'The Medicine Man' and find natural cures in the rain forest (ha). As part of my curriculum I took a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) class and found what I had been 'seeking'. This viewpoint meshed with what I was trying to find, and with a passion that is unyielding, I completed my BS and also hold my MS in Acupuncture.My ever increasing education and practice of Chinese Medicine and other therapies, along with patient education, giving the patient the skills and knowledge that I receive so that they may live their life with authenticity and satisfaction is what Metal Dog Acupuncture is about.
