✨Patient Journey Highlight: Robert Terry Gamber

After years of living with a stiff, bone-on-bone knee, Terry Gamber underwent a hinge knee replacement with Dr. Jesse Chrastil at OrthoColorado Hospital in August 2024, followed by rehabilitation at

At his one-year follow-up in August 2025, Dr. Chrastil was very pleased with his progress and Terry states that he is feeling “10 years younger.”

Terry shared some of his Apple Watch data with us and the results are quite impressive! His daily steps more than doubled, from 3,440 in 2024 to 8,200 in 2025. He is back to hiking trails like Berry Picker in Vail (16,000 steps) and Panorama Point at Golden Gate Canyon Park (14,000 steps), and he keeps up with all the landscaping on his 0.4-acre property.

This year, our OrthoColorado team proudly stepped up for the Walk to Cure Arthritis, joining a nationwide movement to raise awareness and support for the 53 million Americans living with arthritis, the leading cause of disability in the U.S.

This walk is more than a fundraising event. It reflects the work we do every day, caring for patients whose lives are impacted by joint pain, limited mobility, and chronic conditions. Taking our commitment beyond hospital walls, we walked to stand beside our patients not just in the clinic, but out in the community as well.
