It’s official…

Jocelyn Parson is the new owner and manager, and I’m now working for Parson Speech Therapy, 2 days a week seeing children!
It been a great 38 years of starting as a small small private practice for a while, to an office with 5 staff at its height! We have specialized in exceptional, pediatric speech therapy, focused on early intervention, cleft palate and related conditions, preschool and school aged children with a variety of speech and language disorders… Always family centered, and family focused!
Jocelyn Parson will continue to maintain our personal, family centered care. She also brings a bilingual gift of Spanish to the clinic. Jocelyn has been part of Theresa M. Snelling and Assoc, Inc. for over 10 years. Although it’s hard to let go of the reigns and my name on the practice, I could only have done it knowing Jocelyn was going to be the one taking over. Libby Carter, Pediatric Speech Pathologist, is also staying on and brings a wealth of early intervention specialty to the group.
So, although I’m leaving the ownership of the practice, I am excited about the change both for me and for Jocelyn! I look forward to continuing working as a specialist and consultant for all of my families with Cleft Palate needs, many of whom I’ve known for decades, as well as providing weekly speech therapy across other speech and language areas with new families.
I plan to continue my yearly ntensive speech therapy missions for cleft palate children and adults in the Philippines through International Children’s Surgical Foundation and the Community of Hope Special Education Center (COHSEC).
I have done countless in-services, lectures and trainings, at the local, state and national level. And I have loved every minute of it. I plan to continue educating and training the next generation of Speech -Language Pathologists, especially around care of individuals with Cleft Palate and related conditions. This includes teaching the graduate course on Cleft and resonance disorders at the University of Northern Colorado-my Alma Mater! This doesn’t sound like retirement is that close!
I also plan to travel more and spend more time with my husband and 7 beautiful grandchildren! ❤️
