🧠 May is Stroke Risk Awareness Month

A stroke can happen suddenly, often without warning signs people recognize ahead of time. That’s why understanding your risk and catching possible concerns early can make a major difference.

A Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound is a quick, non-invasive outpatient test that helps evaluate blood flow in the brain and can assist in assessing stroke risk.

✔️ Safe
✔️ Effective
✔️ Diagnostic
✔️ No surgery or downtime

Early detection gives you the opportunity to take action before a medical emergency happens.

Know your risk. Take control of your health. 🩺

Many health conditions can be easier to treat when caught early, and regular checkups help you stay informed about your health before problems become bigger.

Today we recognize the people who keep healthcare moving, our nurses. 🩺📋

National Nurses Day traces back to the birthday of Florence Nightingale, whose work during the Crimean War helped shape modern nursing as we know it today. Her impact set the foundation for a profession built on both science and compassion.

Nurses are often the first to notice when something changes. They monitor patient status, coordinate care across teams 🤝, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks in fast-moving clinical environments 🏥.

They administer treatments 💉, track critical details 📊, educate patients and families, and provide steady support through both routine care and urgent situations ❤️‍🩹.

Their work is constant, detailed, and essential to every part of patient care.

Today is about recognizing that dedication, skill, and presence they bring.

Thank you to all nurses for what you do, every single day.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Clinical depression isn’t just a bad day or a rough week, it’s a condition that can affect how you think, feel, and function day to day.

Some common signs include:
😔 Feeling persistently sad, empty, or hopeless
😴 Sleeping too much or struggling to sleep at all
⚡ Low energy that doesn’t improve with rest
🍽️ Noticeable changes in appetite or weight
🧠 Trouble concentrating or making decisions
🚫 Losing interest in activities you once enjoyed

These symptoms can build over time, and many people try to push through them, but they’re important signals from your body and mind.

If you’re noticing these signs, it’s important to talk with your provider. Support is available, and we have a behavioral health team who can help you navigate what you’re experiencing and explore next steps. 🤝

💡 Did You Know Your Provider Can Help With… Frequent Headaches? 🤕

Getting headaches more often than you’d like?
Pushing through them with over-the-counter meds every time?

That might not be the best long-term plan.

🩺 Your provider can help figure out why they’re happening:
• Stress and tension
• Dehydration or nutrition issues
• Vision or screen strain
• Blood pressure concerns
• Migraines or chronic headache conditions

Headaches are your body’s way of signaling that something’s off, not something you should just keep ignoring.

The right care can help reduce how often they happen (and how intense they feel).

📅 Don’t just manage the pain, get to the root of it. Schedule a visit with us today.
