Barton County Memorial Park

Barton County Memorial Park In early 2020 work began on the Barton County Memorial Park, on the grounds of the old Barton County Memorial Hospital.

On this land we honor the 69 Barton County men that died in WWII.

Don't forget about the PAVER SALE tomorrow. This may be the last time we do this until next year.

We would like to finish up the row of pavers on the south side of the Walk of Honor. So, here is your chance to honor a veteran. On March 21, veteran pavers will be $50 off the normal price of $150.

If you have visited the southwest corner of the Memorial Park lately you may have noticed several small flags missing. Well, come to find out, the squirrels have been stealing them right off the wooden rods. Gordie, Kathleen and myself have all witnessed it first hand. Kathleen even snapped some pics of the lil varmint heading up the tree with a mouthful. It is not uncommon to replace five flags in the morning and by that night six are gone.

So, bear with us as we try several different things including pepper spray. Hopefully I will not have to go full Caddyshack on them. IYKYK
