🏡Meet Chris - she is one of our amazing residents here at Lamar Estates!

❣️For the past 6 years, Chris has been Needle Pointing on Plastic Canvas, Pocket Crosses. She has made over 3,600, all of them made and handed out with love.

✝️Within the Pocket Cross, is a verse that Chris has chosen and meticulously folds to be held within the cross pouch.

❤️While Chris never asks for a donation, she has had gracious receivers of her pocket crosses inquire if they can donate and they have. One of her favorite stories to tell is about a couple at our local Walmart that donated $50 for two crosses - It was the highest amount she has ever recieved!

🕊️Chris explains that if they would like to donate she lets them know that all donations received are given to Sparrow House, which is a non-profit located here in Lamar, Colorado that provides emergency food based assistance and resources in our community.

⭐️What started out as a simple act of wanting to give friends, acquaintances, relatives and even complete strangers, a daily reminder of hope, encouragement & love, with this handmade and heartfelt cross & scripture has not only impacted the lives of the over 3,600 that have held these crosses - it has also impacted the over 1,500 people in Prowers County and the surrounding rural communities, that Sparrow House serves with her monetary donations, that she has selflessly made over the past 6 years.
