Medical Arts volunteers at the Bike MS Cactus & Crude Ride at Lamesa Forrest Park today. We had a great time volunteering with the nourishment station, first aide, rider services, and spotting riders.

Thank you to all volunteers of the Lamesa community, Lamesa Fire Rescue, La Mesa Police Department, The City of Lamesa, TX, and Medical Arts. Thank you to the bike_ms Cactus & Crude MS Society and their team members too!

As we gather with loved ones to celebrate Independence Day, let’s take a moment to honor the spirit of freedom and unity that this day represents. Whether you're enjoying a backyard barbecue, watching fireworks light up the night sky, or simply relaxing with friends and family, we wish you a day filled with joy, laughter, and patriotic pride. Remember to prioritize safety, here are some essential tips:

🎆Stay safe by following local firework regulations, restrictions or required permits, and practicing caution while traveling.
🎆 Preparation is key: choose a safe location, use fireworks in an open area away from buildings, grass, and flammable materials, have water or a fire extinguisher nearby, use safety gear to reduce risk of injury, and be prepare for emergencies.
🎆Safely handle fireworks: use fireworks responsibly, read and follow instructions, maintain control by not lighting multiple fireworks simultaneously, keep a safe distance once fireworks are lighted, never relight malfunctioned fireworks, and consider alternatives to fireworks or chose low-impact fireworks.
🎆Look out for one another: Ensure responsible adults handle fireworks, supervise children and keep them at a safe distance, notify neighbors, and create a safe indoor space for your pets.

Together, let’s make this 4th of July a memorable and safe celebration for all.
