“I didn’t serve in combat, so I probably don’t qualify.” We hear this all the time. And it’s not true. The VA’s Aid and Attendance benefit does NOT require combat service, overseas deployment, or a service-connected disability. If the veteran served at least 90 days of active duty with one day during a wartime period, and now needs help with daily activities, they may qualify.
That includes veterans who served stateside. It includes surviving spouses. It includes more families than you think.💛
