Lamoni is celebrating National Walk & Bike to School Day! 🚶‍♀️🚲

We encourage all students and families to join us for a fun, healthy, and community-centered event on Wednesday, October 8!

Here's how we're celebrating with a Walking School Bus:
- Regular school buses will drop students off at the trail entrance on the corner of 7th Street and North Clark.

- From there, students will walk the trail to school together.

Our staff will be stationed at the drop-off and along the trail to supervise and support all students.

This is a wonderful opportunity to promote physical activity, community spirit, and a positive start to the day. We can't wait to see our students participating!

A perfect opportunity to get out on the Trail!

Let’s build a healthier future for Iowa together!

On Tuesday, October 1st, Lamoni Schools will join the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative for the annual “Start Somewhere Walk.” We encourage all students, staff, and families to get moving and walk for 30 minutes. Let’s step forward together for a healthier community!

The next few days are shaping up to be beautiful out! Make sure to spend some of that time soaking up the sun on Lamoni Recreational Trail! While you're on the Trail, check out "The Hugging Tree" in the Northwestern corner of the trail! It was brought to our attention by avid trail user, Lori Long, that the tree (multiple mulberry's growing together) appears to be embracing one another. Take your own picture by "The Hugging Tree" and share in the comments!
