Our Story
Our gently used books are priced from 10¢ to $5, including newly-published hardcovers in giftable condition. Most paperbacks are 50¢ or 3 for $1, and most hardcovers are $1. All categories and age ranges are represented; more than 100 titles are added weekly. We take requests and have fulfilled hundreds them. Proceeds benefit the Lanark Public Library and its programs and collections.
Fiction books are organized by the author and nonfiction books are organized by category. We carry mystery, westerns, Amish and inspirational/Christian romance, cookbooks, religion, humor, sports, science fiction, fantasy, horror, classic literature, and contemporary and historical romance. Our extensive nonfiction section, organized by topic, includes books on gardening, biography/autobiography, history, needlework and quilting, woodworking and construction, antiques, parenting, photography, self-help, health and fitness, languages, animals, science, and virtually anything else you can imagine. We carry books for all ages of children, from board books for toddlers to young adult literature. We also offer DVDs, VHS tapes, audio books and music on CD and cassette, and jigsaw puzzles.
Donations of gently used books are accepted 10 am-1 pm Tues.-Fri. and 9 -11 am Sat., or they may be dropped off at the Lanark Public Library.
