I have been debating whether or not I should write about this however I think it’s important to give a moment to those experiencing mental health struggles. So often my clients share with me their emotional stress and just need to decompress both mentally and physically. Everyday life that all of us deal with. The stress from chronic pain, exhausted care takers/parents, coping with family illness, etc.
So many of us have unseen moments behind that closed door where we allow ourselves to let go of some of the mental weight we carry. And sometimes it's my door that someone feels safe to allow themselves to be vulnerable. And I am completely honored and humbled by that. Not everyone may feel comfortable or feels that need.
But for those that do, it's okay.
I believe I can speak for other massage therapists that we chose those this profession because of a genuine desire to help, to heal and have people walk out of our door better than they came in. And for me, I have found a deeper connection with humanity more than just physical healing.
So please be kind, show compassion. Because nobody is going through life without their own hardships. And mostly, be kind to yourself.
